Corazon by Baires:
Globally Inspired Culinary Excellence
Creative Leadership in Service of a Seductive, International Brand Experience
Corazon by Baires wasn’t launching into empty space. It was entering one of Orlando’s most competitive culinary corridors: I-Drive. A stretch dense with themed dining and tourist churn. The challenge was clear. Introduce something that cut through the noise. No gimmicks. Just global sophistication, emotional storytelling, and a transportive atmosphere. The opportunity was just as bold. Build a brand that felt iconic from day one. One that pulled in both locals and travelers and left a lasting impression.
As Creative Director, my role was to bring the founders’ vision to life and make it tangible at every touchpoint. Before anyone walked in or tasted a bite, they had to feel it. From identity and website to food styling, photography, and pre-launch content, every element worked in sync to position Corazon not just as a fine dining experience, but as a full sensory journey.
From brand strategy and identity to experience design and launch, I led the creative charge behind Corazon by Baires. Working closely with the founders, I took their vision and shaped it into a brand with clarity, elegance, and emotional pull. My role blended strategy and execution, making sure every expression of the brand stayed aligned and intentional.
I partnered with interior designer Rebecca Merritt to sync the physical space with the brand story. I guided Dark Roast Media in building a digital experience that matched the tone and depth of the concept. And I worked with DKC PR to make sure every message hit with the right voice across press and media. From early mood boards to opening night, I directed a full rollout that delivered on Corazon’s promise of globally inspired culinary excellence.
My job was simple: make sure every visual, every word, and every moment reflected that promise with purpose, style, and impact.
I served as creative lead for all visual content leading up to Corazon’s debut. I directed photo and video production, casting, location selection, and full art direction across every scene. The goal wasn’t just to show off a restaurant. It was to create a feeling. To pull people into Corazon’s world before they ever booked a table.
Every detail carried weight. I cast models who matched the tone of the space. I shaped moments that felt intimate, celebratory, and cinematic. Each scene reflected the brand’s core: evocative, immersive, seductive, and sophisticated. The camera didn’t just observe. It took part. It captured what the space felt like, not just how it looked.
I worked side by side with the culinary team to style every dish. I selected plateware, linens, and background elements that told a story. Whether we were shooting the architecture of a tuna tartare or the richness of a short rib, every frame had to hit the right note—refined, sensorial, and aspirational.
Lighting mattered just as much. It was built to feel natural yet cinematic. We used warmth, depth, and shadow with intention. Nothing flat. Nothing overproduced. We created layers and textures that almost came through the screen, using color and light to echo the space itself.
These assets weren’t just for the website or a press kit. They defined the visual language of Corazon. A brand that speaks in mood, memory, and detail. This was art direction as experience.
Partnering with Dark Roast Media, I led the design direction for Corazon’s digital presence. The website was built to reflect the in-person experience—immersive, editorial, and seamless. I shaped every front-end detail, from layout and copy tone to image pacing and transitions, making sure the site felt like a natural extension of the dining room. Refined. Welcoming. Full of promise.
The site connects directly with OpenTable and social channels, making it easy to book a table while inviting visitors into Corazon’s sensory world.
Brand Launch & Multisensory Experience
From preview nights to public launch, Corazon’s debut was planned with precision. I led the launch creative, worked closely with PR to prep assets, and made sure the in-venue experience—from menus to lighting—stayed true to the story we built.
Every room at Corazon tells part of that story. The Library, the Garden, the Lounge, the Dining Room. I helped shape each one visually and experientially, building a layered brand that unfolds with every guest interaction.
Corazon wasn’t just about a logo or a website. It was about building an emotional destination. I served as the creative backbone for a brand where culinary craft meets timeless elegance, making sure its debut wasn’t just seen, but felt.
This was creative leadership at its fullest. Clear vision. Smart strategy. Hands-on execution. True collaboration. The result was a brand experience as unforgettable as the flavors on the plate.
